Guiltless Chocolate Brownies

Ease your chocolate cravings with these low fat and low sugar brownies! chewy and really tasty, these highly addictive brownies are the perfect option if you have a sweet tooth and don't want the guilt. The coffee enhances the chocolate flavor, you won't even notice it's there...

If you want them to be sugar free, just remove the semisweet chocolate chips.

  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 1/2 tablespoons sugar substitute
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, if desired
  1. Pre-heat oven to 360° F (180° C)
  2. Coat with cooking spray a 8 x 8 in pan.
  3. Mix water and instant coffee and set aside to cool
  4. Over a medium bowl mix flour, sugar substitute, cocoa powder and baking powder
  5. Over a big bowl, mix with an electric mixer butter, vanilla, egg whites and cooled coffee, for about 1 minute
  6. Add dry ingredients, gradually, mixing after each addition in low speed. Incorporate chocolate chips and mix by hand
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a tooth pick comes out clean
