Chicken Fajita Tacos

This was an amazing dinner!!! I made my favorite Mexican Jalapeno Salsa recipe and and served it on top of the tacos. Enjoy!

Yield: 4 Servings

  • 500 g chicken, cubed
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry parsley
  • 4 big flour tortillas
  • 100 g shredded cheese
  • 1 avocado, in cubes
  • 2 small tomatoes, cubed
  • 70 g lettuce, chopped
  • Salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper to season

  1. Pre-heat oven to 300° F (150° C)
  2. Season chicken cubes with salt and cayenne pepper. Cook in batches over a slightly oiled medium sized skillet in medium-high heat. Set aside
  3. Over a slightly oiled big sized skillet, cook onions in low-medium heat, until slightly browned, about 10 minutes, moving constantly; season with salt and dry parsley. Add chicken to onion skillet and mix
  4. Add chicken mix evenly into the 4 tortillas, add shredded cheese on top and cook in the oven about 7 minutes or until cheese melts
  5. In the meantime, mix avocado and tomatoes and season with salt and black pepper
  6. Add avocado mix and lettuce to tacos and serve immediately

  1. Hi Maria,

thanks for posting this recipe - I was looking for one to make tacos. Problem is, where to find the taco shells?
    Looks so yummy!

  2. Hi Duni!! I buy them in big Supermarkets like Edeka or Rewe here in Germany; these are not taco shells, but big soft flour tortillas :)

  3. Looks good! Wish I could stop by and eat one with you!

  4. Wow, looks delicious! I love avocado but never thought of cubing it for tacos! Great idea!
