Gourmet Hamburgers with Raspberry BBQ Sauce

Gourmet Hamburgers
Yield: 6 hamburgers

  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, without seeds and chopped
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayo
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 150 g goat cheese
  • 100 g lamb's lettuce

  1. Cook bacon over a medium heat skillet (do not add oil) until more or less brown, 3-4 minutes. Add onion and cook until slightly yellow, 3 minutes. Add tomato and bell pepper and cook for 1 more minute
  2. Add the vegetables to the ground pork and beef and mix well; make 6 hamburgers with the mix and cook them over the same skillet on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on one side or until slightly brown, and 1-2 minutes on the other side
  3. Spread mayo and mustard over each side of the breads and place the meat on top. Add cheese and salad. Top with the Raspberry BBQ sauce (recipe as follows) and serve

Raspberry BBQ Sauce

  • 2 teaspoons barbecue sauce
  • 4 tablespoons raspberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  1. Mix everything together and serve over meat
