Christmas Butter Cookies

Yield: 24 cookies

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F (200° C)
  2. Mix on high speed butter and sugar for about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy
  3. Add vanilla and milk, mix. Gradually, add flour. The batter will be dry, you can mix it with a wooden spoon instead of mixer if desired
  4. With a wax paper, give the batter the form of a tube and add the sprinkles, rolling the batter so that the whole cylinder is completely covered
  5. Cover and freeze for one hour. Trim the ends and cut the cookies with 1/2 inch thickness. Place the cookies over a baking sheet with 1 inch separation between each. Bake for 11 minutes and let cool completely
